Welcome to The Family Practice
Real-life parenting, shared with heart, intention, and experience.
I’m a mother of four, a stay-at-home mom, and a former attorney who spent over 12 years practicing law before stepping away to focus on raising my family. These days, my work looks a little different. I spend less time reviewing corporate documents and more time at the kitchen table, homeschooling, researching childhood eczema, testing vegetarian recipes, crafting with my kids, and learning as we go!
My husband works long hours in the hospitality industry, which means our home is often busy, full, and wonderfully imperfect. Life moves fast and this space was created to slow things down just enough to share what’s working, what we’re learning.
I come from a mix of cultures that deeply shapes our family life and values. I’m Guyanese and Gujarati, born in Canada, and now raising my children in the United States. Food, tradition, language, and family are at the center of everything we do and you’ll see that reflected throughout this blog.
The Family Practice is a place for real parenting the thoughtful, hands-on kind. From homeschooling and childhood eczema, to vegetarian and Gujarati food, creativity, routines, and home life. This is where experience meets intention, and where learning never really stops.
I hope you find something here that feels useful, comforting, or familiar.
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here!
